What to do When I Feel Demotivated?

How often do you get demotivated?

Today evening I was speaking to a friend of mine who runs a website development company.

This friend of mine was struggling today with his inner motivation. “Bishal, I contacted 10 potential prospects but closed no business. I am feeling demotivated. Help me stay inspired.”

When listening to this friend of mine, I realized that he was not alone.

I mean think about it. Don’t we all feel demotivated from time to time?

We may have an EXCELLENT life, yet at times we all get knocked down by life.

One of my favorite movies is Rocky (Series).

In one of the scenes Rocky Balboa says: “The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!”

When speaking with the friend, I told him he needed to hear--- so he that he could get re-energized.

- I reminded him of his big goals.

- I reminded him of WHY he was in business for himself--- rather than working for someone else.

- I reminded him of his purpose.

We also discussed the fact that if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. This guy is a champ, because when he needed help, he asked me. Most people need help—they won’t ask for ego problems--- and then give up!

After 20 minutes of conversation, the guy is back to his life—making more calls--- helping more clients. He’s a champ--- because when he feels like giving up, he keeps moving forward.

What about you?

Do you feel like giving up, sometimes?

Do you keep moving forward?

The next time you feel like giving up:

1. Call a mentor/motivator who believes in your dreams and supports you

2. Write down your goals--- they will keep you focused

3. Think of the reasons WHY you are doing what you are doing
