To get to colleges, companies and general audiences for a fee, you need to learn how to treat speaking as a business.

2. Average aspiring speakers don’t think that they deserve the money. Their mind-set is: “Oh, I have a message which is life-changing. I don’t want money. I simply want to share my message. I don’t want money.” They are shy to ask for a fee. They don’t feel worthy of someone’s cash. Here is my take on that: “The more people pay, the more they pay attention.”

If you care so much about people, you need to start taking a fee for speaking, coaching, training, consulting. Because if your speeches/training are free i. none is attending them anyway or ii. if people are attending, they don’t take you seriously. You deserve the money, so ask for it with confidence.
