What does a customer mean to you?

As I am going through an online program on Customer Amazement, I am getting to see so many mistakes I have made in the past with this subject. And I constantly see business owners making these mistakes. Mistakes like:

- Saying to customers: "It's our company policy."
- Not interacting with customers on regular basis, and keeping them in darkness
- Treating clients well TILL payment is received
- Telling customers: "You're completely wrong. I never said that."
- Criticizing customers A to customer B (This one is a big RED light)
- Making fun of a client in front of an employee (Another big red light)

Customers put the rice, daal & aloo fry on your table. Respect them for who they are--- even if they don't do business with you.

               

Be nice.

Bad word runs a million times faster than good word. Don't lose your reputation by being mean to customers.
