Are You An EXAMPLE or A Warning?

Are You An EXAMPLE or A Warning?

As India’s Public Speaking Expert, I get to speak and interact with a lot of ultra-successful people and around the world.

Yes, most people say: “Yes I am committed to my success, I am willing to pay the price for my success.”

I would agree that everyone “wants” success--- but a very small fraction of this people is willing to do whatever it takes.

Let me explain.

Recently I was on a call with a gentleman from Bangalore named Rajesh Tiwari. He called my office and requested for a quick call with me. Please understand that for my busy schedule I talk to a very limited number of people currently on phone.

But we gave this man a shot- and my lovely assistant Anupama put Rahesh’s name on my calendar 2 days later.

2 days later when I was on a call with him, he talked a good game of WHY he wants to become a Super-Confident Speaker & Presenter. He talked a good game of what he’s tries by himself and has failed a speaker. He informed me about his consistent failure in presentations in front of his VPs and clients. He talked a good game of frustration.

So, later I gave him an opportunity to join me in one of our programs “Rock The Stage: Ultimate Formula” and he seemed pretty interested. And he said: “I know this is the right solution for me, and I need half an hour for making the investment.”

Well 2 hours later we spoke again and he changed his mind. He said: “I don’t think this is the right time for me. I want to keep doing what I am doing. I was just looking!”

Just looking?

Someone who stutters out of stage fear was “just looking?”

Someone who sweats in front of managers was “just looking?”

I told you--- most people say: “Yes I am committed to my success, I am willing to pay the price for my success.”

I would agree that everyone “wants” success--- but a very small fraction of this people is willing to do whatever it takes.

As a coach, I did whatever it took for me to show him the vision--- but he refused to move forward.

Cool!

You can take a horse to the water, but you can't make the horse drink the water. Would you agree?

Our society is filled with people like Rajesh.

They speak a lot, do VERY little.

The problem is that people like these are parents as well. Rajesh told me he has a daughter.

My question is: “Is Rajesh an example for this daughter? Or a BIG WARNING?”

People like these smoke and advise others “Don’t smoke. Smoking is bad for health.”

People like these never take actions and advise others: “The key to success it to take actions.”

People like these have no clue where they are going in their lives and advise others: “Be clear about what you want in life.”

People like these abuse their wives and tell their children: "Always respect women."

Do you know someone like this?

How do you deal with these people?

Do you have someone in your family who is a BIG WARNING?
