Many years ago, I remember going to a church every Sunday for 2 years during a dark period of my life.
Sunday 6 PM to 8 PM.
If you’re in Bangalore, I am talking about the church near Koramangala.
I used to read Bible at that time.
Then I took a deep dive into Bhagavad gita. And I immersed myself in that.
I took the shelter of a Hindu Monk who took real interest in installing me the ancient wisdom that I could use in the real world.
Not only I read the slokas & the verses. But I internalized the lessons I got by practicing them. Not all. I am a human after all.
It’s a constant practice even today.
No matter where I am today, I can never forget the dark, depressing years of my life. That phase taught me to be self-confident, giving, and happy person EVEN WITHOUT external wealth.
My valuables are extensions of my internal VALUES.
Anyways, I’ve studied enough about Jesus Christ.
And if you study about him, one thing you’ll find out is that he was NOT a poor guy, unlike what most of us think.
Second, he was a persuasive speaker.
How did he persuade people?
By using slides?
By using mindmaps?
By using Fb ads?
Nope!
He persuaded people by the #1 most powerful speaking techniques.
And that it: STORYTELLING.
Not just randomly telling stories.
Nope.
He was a master at using different kinds of stories.
Personal stories. Gospel. Parables.
And guess what.
No matter what you do and how much successful you are already, you’re not using persuasive business storytelling in your natural communication style, you’re NOT rising up to your potential as a leader.
Story will give you glory.
So master storytelling.
It’s an art.
