This Mobile Phone Salesman Pissed Me Off...a bit!

How much time do you spend on phone?

I spend a lot of time on phone, so I wanted to buy another phone today. As I went to a store, I told all my requirements, and one of the salespeople came to me and said a bit sarcastically:

"For how many *days* should the battery backup be?"

"19-20 days" was my immediate answer.

He was shocked a bit!

"Sorry Sir. We don't have any phone that can give you a talktime backup of 19-20 days."

"Really? Well, the way you asked me, I thought you had."

LESSON FOR ALL OF US: Beware of what you are asking, and how you are asking. Don't ask a question that becomes an irritation to the customer.

FYI, I ended up buying the phone from another store that treated me well and answered my questions, and suggested the best phone I needed.

In business behavior is a major closing determining factor.

I hope you are treating people well and asking them quality questions.
