How to Stay Positive Throughout The Day?

In the world we live in, it’s very easy to get distracted. TV, MMS scandal and millions other activities do take our energy out. So the question is how do we keep our mind fresh, updated and focused?

As a professional trainer, I must build people up. And before I build other people up, I have to build myself up. Nothing has served me more than prayers and affirmations. I am really big on affirmations. My day starts with affirmations, and ends with affirmations. Affirmations are simply phrases you repeat to yourself throughout the day many times. You do it to stay focused, to install new beliefs, to cement on some existing beliefs. Here is an example:

Weak is he who permits his thoughts to control his actions; strong is he who forces his actions to control his thoughts. And I am strong.

I usually do affirmations when I wake up, during my shower (my shower time is my self-renewal time), before my lunch, after my lunch, before a client meeting, before my workshops, after my workshops, all the time.

We all have Mr Mediocrity within us. Mr Mediocrity is the voice that tells us: “It’s so hot in here, I think I should skip today’s client meeting.” “I am not feeling like going to office today.” “It looks so hard. I don’t think I can do this presentation.”

Your job is to defeat Mr Mediocrity. You defeat Mr Mediocrity by saying positive affirmations throughout the day, literally hundreds of times. The more you say it, the deeper you believe it. One client of mine has found this technique really helpful. By using my 21 affirmations once in every 2 hours, he has not got higher self-confidence, he’s getting more work done in less time with less stress. He is enjoying his life of Excellence. After all, he deserves it. So do you.
