Whenever he was getting a question or an objection from the audience, his reply started with: “You’re wrong!”

Trust me: NO.ONE.WANTS.TO.BE.CALLED.WRONG.

Practically speaking, when you make people wrong, you never connect with them in reality.

The strategy is to have the ability to “Agree with your audience.”

Agree with them, even when they say something wrong.

Because when you agree, their mind becomes open.

When you agree, they connect with you.

When you agree, they want to listen to their opinion.

When you agree, they feel special.

Keep in mind, I am not suggesting that they are right, I am suggesting that you agree with them even if they are right. And then tell you opinion and they themselves will figure out if their point makes sense or they should jump back to your opinion and accept it as the new reality for them.

Practice practice practice.

Practice using this line: “I agree with you.”

Practice using this statement: “You’re 100% right.”

Practice using this statement: “Absolutely, I am with you, and I totally agree with you.”
