Mentors made the biggest difference in my life.

As you may know I came from a small background. I was born and brought up in a small city called Siliguri (in West Bengal) and I studied in a Bengali Medium Government School. That’s right--- a Bengali Medium Government School. What that means is, no we didn’t have AC classrooms. No we didn’t have fancy notebooks. No we didn’t have all the great facilities. No we didn’t ever speak in English in schools. I didn’t know English very well, in fact.

So coming from that background, I had to work a lot of MYSELF, my mindset, my skillset and my overall personality.

I couldn’t do that on my own.

Make no mistake, it’s ME who did all the work.

BUT, I took support from others.

Who did I take support from?

Majorly mentors.

You see, smart people (like you and me) understand the fact that there’s always an expert who knows what you don’t know.

So what I did was I went to different experts (public speaking, persuasion, negotiation, business, entrepreneurship, health etc) and learnt the skills I needed to learn.

Recently I was on an international radio show as the guest expert and they asked me if I learnt all things on my own. I said: “Absolutely not. You Need to Connect with Your Mentor Before Receiving Your Mastery.”
